We are looking for two construction pros to join our ambitious editorial team.
Our magazine reaches out to the professionals of the construction and paving industries.
We span everything, from engineering, to asphalt production. We write about house building and large construction projects, right down to smaller jobs.
We are looking for two new technical writers to add to our insightful publication.
The topics you will cover include economics, government and global policies, industry trends, construction news, political developments, technological breakthroughs and employment practices.
We need individuals with a wide breadth of scientific and technical knowledge, as well a keen interest in the world around them.
Naturally, you will be a gifted writer, able to convey complex ideas succinctly and clearly. You will know how to write to attract readers and potential readers alike.
You will have a background possibly in science or engineering, or maybe you have worked first hand in the construction business from the ground upwards. It doesn’t really matter exactly where your experience comes from, as long as you have some.
We would expect applicants to have demonstrated at least five years in a similar role, although this does not have to have been within print journalism.
Anyone with experience of writing for a blog, a website or even producing technical reports is welcome to apply for the role.
The positions are initially part time only and but may lead to a full time position.
At least some of the time, you will be based in our offices, here, in South Carolina. The rest of the time, the position will be home based.
You will also be an excellent communicator, comfortable with both the “old” media and new and able to write for our website, social media and other platforms.
We need an experienced and talented sub editor to join our editorial team.
This is a temporary position to cover staff maternity leave, although there is the possibility it may become permanent or that there may be future openings within the company.
You should possess excellent written English skills and be a savvy user of Microsoft Office and other relevant applications.
You will be working across a diverse section of our industry publications, including our construction magazine and website.
This is not a trainee position. Two years experience minimum is an absolute requirement for this role.
CLOSING DATE FOR ALL ROLES: 20 OCTOBER 2018
Apply via our contact address as printed on our website.
